HCM in his message stated that he salutes the determination and hard work of countless workers who play a significant role in the progress of Sikkim. The lives of the public are made convenient through labours effort and resolute courage.
HCM terms the day as an occasion to commemorate the hard work, dedication, and sacrifice of all workers, he states the State government is committed to safeguarding the rights of the workers and labourers and formulated policies for the welfare of the working class.
Since 2013 the Sikkim Krantikari Morcha has been celebrating the “Labour Day” as ‘Majdoor Samman Diwas’ and that it could not be celebrated grandly due to the COVID protocols. HCM affirmed that the State government is looking to increase the employment prospects for the locals in tandem with various in house companies adding the health institutions as a dedication to labourers in different parts of the state which will be upgraded in the coming days.
HCM advises the working-class people to lend their support to take Sikkim towards the path of progress and prosperity also expresses his appreciation for all those whose work calls for devotion to the welfare of others.
HCM wishes that the “laws and policies about the welfare of the working class should be enacted all times”.
Further, wishes all the working people of Sikkim a peaceful and happy celebration and appeals to everyone to follow the COVID guidelines, wear a mask and only venture out in case of emergencies.
